Officiating is a rewarding way to stay involved in the game of lacrosse, give back to the sport, and become part of a community of dedicated officials. Whether you are a former player, coach, parent, or someone that simply enjoys the game, officiating provides opportunities to stay active, develop skills, and make a positive impact on student-athletes.
GPLOA is committed to recruiting, training, and supporting officials throughout every stage of their officiating careers. From your first game as a cadet to working varsity contests and postseason assignments, GPLOA provides the education, mentorship, and resources necessary to help you succeed.
No Experience Necessary
Our cadet training program is designed for individuals for all experience levels. Whether you have extensive lacrosse knowledge or are completely new to the sport, our instructors will guide you through the fundamentals of officiating and prepare you for your first season on the field.
2027 Cadet Training Program
Applications for the 2027 season are now being accepted.
The 2027 cadet training program will be conducted in person and is scheduled to take place during January and February 2027. Specific class dates and times will be announced in late November. All participants will receive training materials and resources to assist them throughout the program on the first night of class. First-year cadets who successfully complete the cadet class will have their GPLOA membership dues waived for their first initial season.
